Classic dish with a twist.
1⁄4 cSugar (brown, light)
1Ice cream (Vanilla-bean flavor)
- Caramelize the sugar with the butter.
- Add the cut bananas.
- With the pan off the heat, add the rum. Return the pan, tilting forward, to ignite the alcohol. Immediately shake the cinnamon into the flame.
- Reduce and stir gently. Add a squeeze of lime juice.
- Remove the bananas and spoon over the ice cream.
- Reduce the sauce to a syrup consistency and spoon over the bananas.
