Ingredients

Banana (ripe)
1⁄4 c
Sugar (brown, light)
2 T
Butter
2 oz
Rum
1
lime (fresh)
3 ds
cinnamon
1
Ice cream (Vanilla-bean flavor)

Instructions

  1. Caramelize the sugar with the butter.
  2. Add the cut bananas.
  3. With the pan off the heat, add the rum. Return the pan, tilting forward, to ignite the alcohol. Immediately shake the cinnamon into the flame.
  4. Reduce and stir gently. Add a squeeze of lime juice.
  5. Remove the bananas and spoon over the ice cream.
  6. Reduce the sauce to a syrup consistency and spoon over the bananas.
  7. Indulge!
